Meet the Saturday Dentists
Dr. Andrew Kokabi
Dr. K is an Atlanta native having lived here for over 30 years. He attended Georgia Tech where he obtained his biological science degree. After graduating with highest honors, he then attended the Medical College of Georgia where he obtained his DMD.
Dr. Kokabi is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, & the Hinman Dental Society. He is a faculty member at The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, where he is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Oral Rehabilitation Department. He frequently volunteers at the Ben Massell Dental Clinic.
Dr. K is a lover of 90s music and football. He enjoys attending concerts and sporting events.
Dr. Kokabi & his wife have lived and worked in Brookhaven since 2009. Dr. Kokabi does work some Saturdays. However, he does not want to miss out his sons' childhood, so most of the time he lets Dr. Basu handle Saturdays.
Dr. Maya Basu
Dr. Maya Basu is originally from Forsyth County. She attended UGA, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics with a minor in Public Health. Dr. Basu then attended the UT College of Dentistry in Memphis, where she obtained her DDS degree.
Dr. Basu is passionate about giving back to her community. She has volunteered numerous times for Remote Area Medical all across the USA. Also, numerous times she has traveled to Jharkhand, India and put her dental training to good use while volunteering at the Satsang Charitable Hospital.
In her spare time, she enjoys working out and spending time with family.
